I Do Like Some Public Servants! by Geniusofdespair

Because I print some of Carlos Gimenez's campaign finance report (see post below) does not imply anything beyond that. I think what Book did was shitty: going beyond the $500 limit. But it is legal even though it stinks. I wish Carlos wouldn't take it but I am a realist. I actually think Carlos is doing a pretty good job. The same goes for my printing of a photo of Marc Sarnoff. It is just a photo. And, the memo he wrote...I think it was smart. When people spill their guts to me, I take mental notes and then I write furiously when alone so I don't forget any of it. So don't think I am trashing these two guys, I am not.

In fact, I think Katy Sorenson, Dave Aronberg, Carlos Alvarez and Kristen Jacobs all do pretty well, for the most part - and there are others. I don't always agree with them all but I do think they care about their Community and that they can see the big picture. I might write about them, but I never call them names (like vile Natacha Seijas).

I wish some people weren't giving the good ones a hard time because of personal vendettas. I have been seeing some nasty stuff come across my email lately. There are enough truly bad politicians to pick on, leave the better ones alone. Perfection is a fantasy.

Sounds like your trying to cover your butt & protect yourself from the Lone Memo Writer....

I don't need protection from anyone.

No I am trying to be clear. C L E A R

Here is a hint: If I don't call them names, I probably like them...at least a little. Go back and read my original post. It was non judgmental. The commenters are putting words into my mouth.

Go into the blog search at the top: Put in Dim, Vile, Stupid, etc. you will find the politicians I do not like.

I typed in "dense" and up came a letter from one of those dumb-asses that thought Anna Menendez's parody on Sarnoff's Memo to himself was real. Must be from one of those geniuses that voted for him.

Now that's funny!

Glad to know that there are at least a few folks who can see the truth....

I find it very disturbing that anyone would buy into Sarnoff's crap.

The masses have been known to follow not too smart evil doers before - but I would at least like to beleive that people are smarter than that. Besides, I had enough laughs in 2007.

Sarnoff lost credibility even quicker than I thought he would.
He should save himself anymore embarrassment and step down now.

I give up...and I admit I can be dense. However I have one thing that you don't: A blog and the fortitude to write every damn day. If you want to continue with this, I suggest you get your own blog because you are beating a dead horse.

I have a had time understanding how people who appear to have their wits about them can be taken in by such an obvious political hustler as Marc Sarnoff.

About “The Memo,” Sarnoff SAYS he wrote it because he felt he had an obligation as a public official to preserve a record of the earth-shattering 5th hand anonymous rumors relayed to him by former City Manager Joe “the truth is my master” Arriola.

Seems reasonable. But don’t you think that if Sarnoff really wanted to preserve an accurate record of whatever it was told him, he’d want to jot down his recollections right away while Joe’s words were still fresh?

Then why did he wait a full week?
