BY SCOTT HIAASEN shiaasen@MiamiHerald.com
"Sandy Walker, the longtime Miami-Dade County Hall lobbyist and sister of County Commissioner Barbara Jordan, pleaded guilty Tuesday to defrauding the Miami-Dade Empowerment Trust by submitting false tax returns under a $200,000 loan agreement with the nonprofit anti-poverty agency."
She is also the sister of "Mayor for Life" in Florida City: Otis Wallace. Sandy was a lobbyist for Lennar.

Slap on the wrist.
Too bad we can't get her brother and sister for conflict of interest. But Fernandez-Rundle will never go after a commissioner or her mayor brother.
It's worth a national magazine expose: Miami-Dade politics, how low can you go.
Just a start. More arrests are needed. What about the investigations into Michelle Spence-Jones alledgely selling votes for money? Election fraud?
Joe Martinez home repairs? Natacha Seijas's trips?
A Start - You won't see any of that under Fernandez-Rundle's watch! While listening to a Spanish radio, one caller suggested that the SAO be investigated because despite all the scandals widely published in the newspapers, that office never finds any wrongdoing on the part of the Dade County Commissioners. So people are beginning to conclude that the SAO is either inefficient or prefers to coverup.
Why aren't the Feds investigating?
It appears the idiots running the Empowerment Trust and its adoring Board wasted millions in Federal dollars. Why aren't the Feds involved? Why aren't the Feds demanding its money back?
Miami Housing Authority? More Federal money stolen. Someone contact them.
Votes sold for $50. Why isn't the State all over that?
