Most politicians will shake your hand while they are looking at the next person. You feel slighted. Bill Clinton gives you complete eye contact as he shakes your hand. It is a meaningful moment. He even does it in a crowd like the one in the photo.
2008 is election time again for the County Commission. The odd number districts are up. If you live in one of the odd numbered districts, get the hand eye coordination down and then run for a Commission seat. It is time to get started. I would love to see 40 people register to run against Natacha Seijas. Only one Commissioner has a challenger so far: Dennis Moss. We should dump Barbara Jordan in district one, Audrey Edmonson in district three, Bruno Barreiro in district 5, ...let me make this easier... all of them except Gimenez.

I agree... At the very least, to put pressure on those incumbents that are part of the Natasha majority, that keep good Commissioners, especially Gimenez, from making changes for the good and in the best interests of the County (and by County, I mean the residents not the government).
Do not run 40 people. In elections run one good person and let us all stand behind that person.
Will one good person step forward in Hialeah?
Don't forget the weasel Joe Martinez! Got to be some good people in Kendall who will wear a Kevalar vest and take on this crooked cop.
How about Mayor Dermer for Bruno the Dim's seat? Dermer is term limited; how about it Mayor?
Interesting. Those are all very, very hard to beat. The amount of public will to toss them out would have to be amazing to get the job done.
I agree with you GENIUS--all should go except Gimenez, although he supposedly will run--win, then resign to run for mayor of the City of Miami.Has anyone else heard that?
No but I think he would be a good mayor. Working with the county commission is like serving in the Gulag....he will have gathered a wealth of experience working with totalitarian dysfunction. That could take him anywhere.
