Manatee meat is not red, however you are a meathead.

and second writer: She will dominate the committee even if she is not on it, so we need good people on it.

Why is money from the Biscayne Bay Environmental ENHANCEMENT Trust Fund being used to pay for what is no doubt (given Dim Bruno's involvement) an effort to water down the current Manatee Protection Plan? Judging by its name, isn't this fund supposed to be for "enhancing" Biscayne Bay?

manatee meat has up to seven different and distinct flavors depending on the location of the cut. Some have said that manatee meat tastes like pork, fish, beef, and chicken. Basically, manatee meat tastes like manatee (a very unique flavor and taste). Depending on the location in the body their meats range in color from light pink-brown to a very dark purple. Therefore, it is safe to say that they have both a light meat and dark meat, but in general it is all pink or red.

mmmm mmmm good!!!!!!!

Manatee trivia…
Marjory Stoneman Douglas does make mention in “River of Grass” of ancient Indians eating manatee. So much for import theory. I suspect they are blubbery, so bad for anyone’s diet.

If you are a manatee, in which case you would not be reading this, when you come in from the salt water to fresh water you lose your barnacles, but get algae, and visa versa. (There’s a metaphor in there somewhere).

If you are not a manatee, today is the day the legislature decides on endangered status. What with manatees finding a place on some people’s menus I think there is more a threat out there than just speeding boaters.
