This is only one of them...
Ferro Investment Group II, LLC/Miguel Diaz De La Portilla, Esq. & Crystal Conner-Lane, Esq. (Hey, wasn’t she Jimmy Morales’ Chief of Staff?) are requesting an Amendment to the Land Use Plan map (71.6 acres) From: Agriculture to Low Density Residential (2.5 to 6.0 DU/Ac.) and (10.0 acres) From: Agriculture to: Business and Office.
They want to expand the UDB to include the subject property which is now on the wrong side. We knew Miguel had gone to the dark side but now Connors? Et tu Crystal?
That "Hold the Line" group had better gear up. Even the Lowe's store is back for yet another go at it. Lowe's stores suck to do this.
The Ferro Group bought this property for $14,488,438 in June of 2006. Suckers! Hasn't anyone told them we are in the middle of a housing crash? Why would we need more housing when we have unsold properties everywhere? This application is just stupid. NO NEED!
Listed as Mgr. is Mario Ferro and Ris Ferro of Miami Lakes. Take a look at the property....what concerns me is all the open land around it. These UDB applications are a house of cards...once one gets through, others will soon follow. And as you can see by the aerial photo on the right....there is a lot of empty land waiting for the UDB line move.

There's still a problem with the page. The last blog (staff war) cuts off.
Have you introduced a "feed" feature? The comment section only turns up when one clicks on a specific blog with the feed.

Also, opening page right column is missing.

don't even know what a feed feature is. on my computer everything is okay. ...
also on mine. I just added these guys to my list for the squad I want to put together.
Genuis,
There does seem to be a problem with the page loading.
I still haven't been able to read the staff entry either. It cuts off at "my favorite part is".What a tease.
And yes the links sidebar is gone too.
Blogger did do maintenace recently, but I can't recall if that was when the problem started.
If you ask them, maybe they can help you with installing a RSS feed link (really simple syndication).I don't know how to use them or how they work but the idea of being notified when new posts some in (I think that's what happens)is a really cool idea.
SOMEONE should be checking to determine DeGrandy involvement in any of the UDB applications as this is an issue the Charter Review Task Force is considering.
Maybe I have answered the invitation to press one too many buttons. Yesterday and today part of the blog first page is missing (right hand column, and now bottom of staff story at ”finally the editorial staff…” )
I noticed there was something for Feed (since it is updated frequently) and thought the format was changing. There is an orange button on top which also answers to (“Alt+j” ). That reveals a different page and format. Articles you can scroll down with, but comments are only shown when you hit the article. The right hand column is different and the “view feed properties” has me totally confused. Is this internet explorer vs. eom?
When I highlighted the last line of “finally the editorial staff…” to paste here, the whole rest of the unseen blog page prints.

s...you seem to be the only one.
hmmm...

S -- I think i fixed the problem it was only happening with internet explorer...check it now
back to comments on the post: who is Mario Ferro? Who are his investors? Where is the money coming from? Can you imagine the carrying costs... no wonder all the consultants are still getting paid chunks of money to get these zoning changes through.
This is all I found on mario:
Ferro Jr., Mario Mr. Esq. (Ferro Development/President), (Zip code: 33016) $5000 to US-CUBA DEMOCRACY POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE on 09/16/04
Unless I miss my guess, they are hedging on 104th street being widened to accommodate the traffic. I would not be surprised if this application was the reason that Public Works and the commissioner are pushing the road widening... Someone told someone and then someone bought the land because they knew what was coming.
That neighborhood needs to pay attention to the UDB moves.
Still a problem with the first page. It's not possible to click anything. If one goes to the feed feature (orange box) at the top, one can get a page in a different format and with most blogs go individually and then see comments. Not all open. Yes this is internet explorer. This is what the feed page says:
(You are viewing a feed that contains frequently updated content. When you subscribe to a feed, it is added to the Common Feed List. Updated information from the feed is automatically downloaded to your computer and can be viewed in Internet Explorer and other programs. Learn more about feeds.

It's no wonder we go to the supermarket these days and rarely find a fruit or vegetable from the U.S. Where are all our Florida oranges, strawberries, mangoes, etc., gone? Now they bring them in from Belize, Guatemala, Chile, etc.,
Why, of course, the developers are destroying all our agricultural lands. Keep it up and we will soon depend totally on foreign foods. It's disgusting...
Well, we will just have to go at it again with the county commission and make sure they Hold the Line or take a hike!

Sure wish people would pay attention to what is getting done to them, before all they can do is remember how it used to be, and whine about how it ought to be.
report in from 104 Street resident: we are just now starting to get it. wow, do I feel stupid for letting these things happen the back yard. Thanks to this site, several of us will be at that Sept 5 zoning meeting at Arvida Middle School at 6:30 PM. Several of us are reading the blogs, now, too. You guys are amazing and I am a fan.
