Natacha Seijas Goes on vacation on our dime again by Geniusofdespair

Thirteen people are going to India on behalf of the County to encourage trade! Barf bag please.

Brian Andrews will report (tonight at 6pm on Channel 4) on the $500 a night hotel stay at a 5 star resort when the Hilton in India is 1/2 the price. Airline cost to India $1,600 coach. Express travel did the planning.

Jim DeFede said ITC does these trips all the time and he has seen no evidence of trade ever coming from any of them. Audio Feed of Interview by Jim DeFede

Do the voters from Hialeah have any clue about the nature of the county commission they've elected?

Where is the Hispanic press?

They should spend some time reading the archives of this blog.

Let's see the benefit to Miami-Dade County by the International Trade Council: let's see the evidence and the correlation.

Defede notes that Seijas is the only person who actually gets valet service when she pulls up to the curb at MIA.

The reason? Lobbyists who support her, like Sergio Pino and Rodney Baretto and Chris Korge and Miguel Degrandy, who have used the airport like an ATM for their clients.

Interesting that she is picking some of the most trendy places. Wonder if she reads many travel mags? South Africa, now India these are all very hot right now. Also, very proud food traditions in each. I bet that China will be next.

Too bad she stays in all of these nice hotels and stuff, far far away from the real lives of real people in these countries.
That is not traveling that is vising faux america in a different place.

Wonder if she buys carbon credits to offset her travels?

Disgusting.

I wish the Inspector General or a Miami-Dade Public Corruption investiagtor would look into this...

Sergio Pino is always lobbying to get favorable zoning treatment for his projects. He is also lobbying to get the Miami-Dade Commissioners to agree to let him pave the Everglades west of the UDB. And he is lobbying to pick up new business for his building supply business.

Acaj, you really think Sergio Pino is not lobbying? And do I have a bridge to sell you?

Isn't Sergio Pino the former Head of the Latin Builders Association? Still on its Board? Isn't the goal of all Latin Builders Assoc people to convince politicians to let them pave everything in sight? And have the taxpayers pay every step of the way? Sounds like a lobbyist to me.

I am sure Seijas went to India to buy lots of those goofy articles of clothing she likes drape over herself at commission meetings. I am willing to bet big bucks that she comes back with a whole new wardrobe that she bought for pennies from the poor people of India.

Natacha uses this as a cover for her vacations: They have aa $1,400,000 budget. Natacha chairs. Let's sack this idiotic department and save the money in the budget.

The Jay Malina International Trade Consortium of Miami-Dade County (ITC) formerly known as The Trade Mission Center of the Americas, Inc. (TMC) began its partnership with Miami-Dade County in early 2000 when it was approved by the Board of County Commissioners with the goal of promoting trade with Latin America and the Caribbean through the County. The ITC offers financial support, coordination and certification to incoming and outgoing trade missions and forges domestic trade alliances with other North American cities seeking to export to this region.

Can Miami-Dade County Public Corruption unit investigate?
