The Mayor put on Maurice Ferre. By looking at the membership, we have a lot of talkers on this task force. I wonder if they can get anything done.

For the $500 an hour he charges his clients, you think he would get a professional portrait taken. Maybe a Glamour shot even.

I am sure Mr. DeGrandy will do the same fine job he did on the last charter review committee. That one screwed the people by giving more power to the county commission and the new one has every indication of doing the same; elected tax assessor, elected elections supervisor and one other position. The argument is they would be subject to recall. But did not the commission make recalls impossible?
This is a way of getting these departments away from the mayor, not making them better for the public. Want to bet the charter review will increase the % requirements for signatures to recall a commissioner or other elected office? The previous charter review committee let the commission select their own chair, that gave us Joe Martinez and Bruno the dim. I hope people are paying attention when this comes to the ballot! You are about to be screwed again.
