Real Estate Fraud: Miami Herald’s Cup Runneth Over Today by Geniusofdespair

Get a load of these additional Hatcher articles and then look at the ad below them in the photograph above (hit to enlarge).

Don’t have time to write about it all now, read the Herald today:
Reporter Monica Hatcher did a bang up job.
Hatcher: Home buyers duped into foreclosure
She says: "Home sales involving duped buyers and inflated appraisals have wrecked credit and caused foreclosures."
Also check out: Lax lending fuels fraud, foreclosures
And if this isn't the best graphic I ever saw to explain a very complicated fraud (from the Miami Herald - Hit to enlarge):

Last but not least, read Hiaasen on the Meeks: Another colossal rip-off

Yeah, the graphic was ala USA Today in simplifying complex ideas.

But when was the last time you saw someone wearing a bowler hat and sporting a handlebar mustache.

Should have been a hint that the guy was up to no good huh?

Carrie Meek was on Michael Putney's TV show. She basically said "I will take money from anyone, and push their schemes, just so long as their checks clear and they keep paying me." "And if someone gives me a Cadilac for free, so much the better."

Poverty pimps make money by preying on the needs of black people. They take money from white people and from black people and usually they are the only ones who benefit.

What about that Audra Wallace fellow? And Ringo Cayard? When will they do the perp walk?

"Hold officials accountable..." the Miami Herald editorial board says... so, why, then has the Herald endorsed responsible incumbents when they have had legitimate challengers?

Good point. Sometimes I think the editorial board doesn't read the news.

Hahaah... Is there a reasonable relationship between the editorial board and the political world? Some days, I think the editoral board only reads El Nuevo Herald.

I did like the articles today today, as well. Loved the graphic. "Fraud for Dummies", is exactly what I need.

You did good, "Eye on Miami" and the Herald!
