Hitler was here. By Geniusofdespair

Don’t miss this! A sailing ship called the Eagle is in the slip between Bicentennial Park and the American Airlines Arena. You can board it for FREE Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10 to 8. Best part: there is FREE parking. That is always good.

The Eagle was a German ship built during WW II and came off the line before the Bismark. Hitler was on this ship, he christened it. So this is the only place in Miami where Hitler has been. When you go to the back stateroom you can just picture Adolf sitting in this cabin admiring the German engineering. You have to admire it too — it is still functioning 70 years later. Narrow and sleek, it is a 3 masted sailing barque that moves at a snappy pace — almost 20 miles per hour when under sail. (German Engineering, what would you expect).

There will never be enough about Hitler. Sorry, you can't ever say that. No matter what, we, the US, can't take slavery out of our past or the genocide and relocation of indian tribes (among other things} and Germany can not say "enough about Hitler" EVER. It is a sad part of our histories that we have shame but what is, is.

I found the hitler angle and esp. the photo to be humorous. Is something wrong with me?

It means you "Get Me" ted. It was suppose to be humourous in a convoluted warped way. In fact most of my posts are suppose to have humor in them but a lot of people miss it...but not you! thanks
