I recall that the corals on Sand Key were about ten percent dead. In the late 90's I took a snorkel trip to Sand Key and it was 90% dead. I grew up on the Bay in the middle Keys and and don't recognize anything that I see (or don't see) in the water today.To an outsider, the water looks pretty.
