”Miami New Times” describes Marco Rubio as a “Right Wing Whack Job.” by Geniusofdespair

That is a pretty accurate description. Take some time to read Marco Rubio takes a swipe at Sonia Sotomayor.

New Times said in their byline: “Wing-Nut Cuban American (Marco Rubio) Criticizes first Hispanic Justice” and they add that Rubio is probably the first Hispanic to take a swipe at her. He is also the scary candidate running for U.S. Senator. Glad to see his aspirations are so high, otherwise he might be running for Miami-Dade Mayor where his pretty-boy good looks would have given his a good chance at winning.

Being the first "Hispanic Justice" seems to be the main credential of Judge Sotomayor. I thought Affirmative Action no longer existed in our country.

Being the first "Hispanic Justice" seems to be the main credential of Judge SotomayorHave you even looked at her credentials? Something tells me you get all your information from listening to wingnuts like Limbaugh, Beck, Tancredo, Buchanan. Go check her credentials yourself.

QuestionGirl do you believe I'm a dumb blonde? I've checked them very well, with right wingers and lefties as well. My comment was that why does the media constantly emphasize the "Hispanic Justice" before any of her legal expertise -got it? Need me to explain it again?

I guess Anonymous hasn't been reading any actual news stories, all of which mention that she graduated summa cum laude from Yale, and that she has years of experience as an actual judge.
But the press loves to affix that "first" monogram when it can.

Anonymous, your comment wasn't very clear if that is what you meant. It did not mention MEDIA at all in the first one.

Spare us from a wing-nut, whack-job, conservative, gun toting,bible-thumping, anti-environment, congressman like Rubio. He clearly represents the wishes of about 10% of the voters.
Stay home Marco.

What about her family? Oh, that's right, she only has her mother. Hasn't been married for over 20 years, no kids. But just because she is a LATINA, she has better insight into decisions that an anglo probably doesn't have?

Where does her insight come from? Raising a family? Not.

So a middle aged woman and her mother? Does she own a bunch of cats too?

Last person: what does family have to do with anything? And, what if she does own cats...I guess you like to peg people on their marital status.

Narco Rubio is no blond dummy, just a shark hiding behind a cute dolphin mask. It is no secret that snobby Cub-Ams love to snub Boricua. What Rude-io has to offer us is more gop pain in the swamp.

I hope you are just as critical when writing about Kendrick Meek (and there's lots), neither Meek nor Crist are anything to write home about either.
We are DOOMED, DOOMED I tell you......

Look at how many cases Sotomayor has sat in on and how many of her rulings were upheld in the supreme court.

If her rulings are constantly getting over turned by a superior court, then there something wrong with them.

What would be even more interesting, would the rate of overturns based on her poor understanding of constitutional issues.

If you are an attorney sitting as a judge, and have never tried a case (like some of the other justices) you can understand the books of law in theory, but legal theory doesn't always translate into law.

Judges who rule on trial precedings and procedure need to be practicing courtroom attorneys.
