How? By using distributed energy resources -- rooftop solar, sustainable biomass (such as using biosolids from sewage treatment, fatty food waste, and landfill gas for energy), efficiency improvement for homes and businesses. Isn't this already done? No, utilities profit more by building central power plants and wires than by Debnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37248244.post-28510243325221901152013-07-17T21:57:19.623-04:002013-07-17T21:57:19.623-04:00They are underground in Aventura, most places, wor...They are underground in Aventura, most places, work fine.Geniusofdespairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01105559930040615945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37248244.post-79944421528812129862013-07-17T16:46:06.051-04:002013-07-17T16:46:06.051-04:00Underground power lines have a lot of disadvantage...Underground power lines have a lot of disadvantages too. While to the general public it seems like a good idea you have to remember we are barely above sea level. The risks of flooding of underground lines is much higher then the risk of wind damage. And when damage does happen, it is harder to find and fix hence power outages usually last longer.
